Reflecting on 2024—A Journey to My Freest Self
As we wrap up another year, I’ve been feeling incredibly reflective. It makes sense—2024 felt like it lasted three years. The ups, the downs, the growth—it’s been a journey I’ll never forget.
When I think about how I started 2024, it’s hard to believe it’s the same year. I became a yoga teacher, started a business, experienced a season of pause, realigned (many times), and grew in ways I never thought possible. This year was unpredictable, challenging, and full of moments that cracked me wide open. It showed me just how strong, resilient, and capable I truly am.
But this wasn’t a year about becoming someone new. It was about peeling back the layers I hadn’t even realized I’d piled on. It was about rediscovering myself. No “new year, new me.” Instead, it was “new year, more authentic me.”
The Hard Parts of Growth
Rediscovering your passions and becoming a more aligned version of yourself isn’t easy. It’s uncomfortable and, at times, lonely. It means going against the grain, drawing outside the lines, and choosing to let go of the expectations that have been weighing you down. But it’s so worth it.
This year taught me that growth doesn’t always look like big leaps forward. Sometimes, it’s about taking small, intentional steps. Little by little, day by day, I started to feel the weight of others’ expectations lift. And with that, I gained something I hadn’t felt in years—confidence.
The confidence to live for myself. To stop paying attention to the people who make the gap between where I am and where I want to be feel insurmountable. When I started focusing on the small, meaningful changes I could make each day, I realized how much progress I was capable of.
No “Best Life” Here—Just My “Freest Life”
This year wasn’t about living my “best life.” It was about living my “freest life.” It wasn’t perfect. It wasn’t always pretty. But it was real, and it was mine.
The freedom I’ve found in releasing the need to meet everyone else’s expectations is unlike anything I’ve ever experienced. And the truth is, the best things in life don’t come from striving for perfection—they come from embracing who you are, where you are, and knowing that every small step forward matters.
Looking Ahead to 2025
As I look toward 2025, I feel ready. Not to transform into someone new, but to keep uncovering the most aligned and authentic version of myself. I’m excited to embrace whatever the new year has in store, knowing that every moment—good or challenging—is an opportunity for growth and self-discovery.
So here’s to a new year. Not a “new you,” but a more you you. The version of yourself that feels free, aligned, and unapologetically authentic.
What About You?
How has 2024 shaped you? What lessons are you taking into 2025? I’d love to hear your reflections—feel free to share in the comments. Let’s step into this new year together, with intention, alignment, and so much hope.

A Passage That Resonated Deeply
I’ve been reading The Alchemy Within by Jamie Varon lately, and one passage stood out to me as the perfect reflection of this year’s journey. It resonated because it reminded me that the journey isn’t about becoming something entirely new. It’s about uncovering the person you’ve always been beneath the noise, the layers, and the expectations.
